Etiqette on Bali

Dos and don’ts on Bali. Pointing at someone with your index finger or signalling with your index finger for someone to come to you is not done and outright impolite. As is the case with pointing with your foot to someone. The right hand is the hand you should use most of the time. Especially if you are eating. If you are going to visit a temple, wear a sarong with special waistband. And do not use your flashlight while photographing. Last but not least: fade into the background during ceremonies. And only be there if you are actually invited.
